The Marks of a Disciple

7.26.20 - A Heart Devoted to Christ! (Matthew 5:8)

Throughout the Old Testament we find God’s prophets diagnosing humanity’s problem over and over again.It’s a heart problem. The sinful heart seeks to go its own way rather than God’s way. The sinful heart says, “Life is better without God. ”The solution? A new heart! The pure in heart are those who have been transformed by Jesus. The new heart is devoted to King Jesus and His Kingdom agenda. The new heart sees that living life with Jesus as King is the best way! This is how we ought to live, and because of God’s provision of a new heart (in Christ) we can!
